In-School Program
Wild Type Learning now offers in-school programs for preschools, homeschool groups, and public schools (Preschool – 2nd Grade)
These classes are a meaningful way to break up the school day with the goal of helping students release energy, reset their nervous systems, and return to learning feeling more calm, focused, and ready to engage.
Each 45-minute session brings the essence of Wild Type Learning’s nature-based philosophy into the classroom through yoga, creative movement, and social-emotional learning, all woven together with engaging natural science themes. Classes are thoughtfully designed to support children’s developmental needs while fostering self-regulation, focus, connection, and social-emotional literacy.
Wild Type Learning has been carefully adapted to fit seamlessly within a school setting while maintaining its holistic, child-centered, and developmentally informed approach.

Homeschool Nature Club
When: Every other Friday! Starting Friday, May 8.
Location: Our locations will be within a one-hour radius of Lake Luzerne area, with hikes ranging from 1.5 to 4 miles round trip.
Time: 10 AM - 1 PM (Depending on length of hike)
Ages: The club is designed for children ages 7–12, though we’re happy to welcome younger or older siblings if it feels like a good fit for them.
What to Expect: You will receive a detailed email the week of each hike with where to meet, what to bring, and a bit about what to expect on the hike. We plan to provide a few printed trail maps for the children to share during our hike. Each child will also receive a pin after completion of each hike to wear proudly.
*This is a club for child and adult to attend together. Please also plan to pack a bag lunch.
In addition to our hikes, we’ll have pop-up fishing meet-ups, group field trips and more!
Cost: We are trying to keep this to minimal cost for families. We are asking for a one time fee of $5 per child or $10 for a family to join for the fall season. This cost will hold your spot and cover the cost for the pins the children can earn for each hike.
How to sign-up: Email: Wildtypelearning@gmail.com to receive more information.
